The Costa Blanca in Spain is renowned for its beautiful 212 kilometres of Mediterranean coastline! But this wonderful area has much more to offer!

live-the-dream-costa-blanca-moraira#1. Perfect climate – life on the Costa Blanca

Let’s start off with the most obvious one: the weather. Yes, the Costa Blanca has a terrific climate. Even one of the best in whole Europe! Although the temperatures differs throughout whole Spain, in the Costa Blanca you should never forget your sun cream. Besides, don’t you agree that live is much better when the sun is shining?

#2. ‘Que sera sera’ lifestyle (Whatever will be, will be)

The stereotypes like daily siestas are more myth than fact, but the Costa Blanca gracious lifestyle is all about enjoying the life. Whatever will be, will be. Some people in different countries are all too busy with what will happen in the future. The people in Spain and the Costa Blanca are a lot more down to earth and enjoying life day by day with long family meals, strolling through the streets in the evenings and holding fiestas when possible.

Living the Spanish lifestyle#3 The health benefits

Another great point to add to the “did you know” list is that Spain’s health care is widely regarded as one of the best in the world. This is where things get even better…The World Health Organisation (WHO), has stated that Spain’s environment was “near perfect” for obtaining miraculous cures. Not so much miraculous like in the divine sense, but because of the surroundings and natural diet.
It will come as no surprise that Spain offers one of the best diets in the world, the Mediterranean diet was invented here, and the Spanish have the highest healthy life expectancy in Europe, averaging around 82 years. The sunshine and salty sea air in the south, mixed with healthy eating habits makes the area beneficial to those who suffer from asthma, rheumatism, arthritis or heart related problems. Moving here is just better for your overall health!

#4. Spanish people

The people in Spain are very kind, warm and welcoming and almost everybody has a strong sense of family. They are somehow extrovert, laughing is valued highly and it is easy to strike up conversations with friendly locals. They know how to enjoy life and they love food. I am sure you will meet people who will feel like family when you live in the Costa Blanca!

Healthy food at the Costa Blanca#5. Language

Spanish is one of the world’s leading languages, spoken by approximately 450 million people. I really love the language. The sounds that roll of the tip of their tongue is in my opinion magical. Take the advantage of living in Spain to learn the language yourself. Nelson Mandela once said “If you talk to a man in a language he understands, that goes to his head. If you talk to him in his language, that goes to his heart”. Speak Spanish with the locals and you will be treated like a member of their family.

#6. Last but not least: The food

Not only for culture-seekers is the Costa Blanca a great place, also for food-lovers. The fresh fruits, vegetables, fish, best wines and olive oil seem to be the perfect ingredients for a healthy life. The Costa Blanca has great gastronomic bars which will put your sentences to test. With the concept of tapas, you can enjoy food all day together with your friends of family. Visit the local market to buy your fresh food and practise your language skills at the same time!
